Seongnam-si, South Korea, April 27, 2021 – Humax is expanding its presence in the Korean market with the supply of its RAiDEA mobility service platform to the community-based rental car service, WAY. This agreement follows the announcement of Humax’s partnership with B2B car sharing company, Carplat Biz, in Korea.
RAiDEA (powered by Humax affiliated company, Alticast) is an all-in-one mobility service platform that provides an array of services such as B2C, B2B and P2P. This technology is suitable for round trip, one way and free-floating infrastructures, and is designed for vehicles including cars, motorcycles, bikes and electric scooters.
WAY is a friendly neighborhood rental car franchise operator that enables customers to conveniently and easily rent vehicles through car rental experts for personal or business use.
RAiDEA’s rental automation service allows convenient rental car reservations through the WAY app, and plans to expand the business by providing services that allow customers to collect vehicles directly from their nearby WAY station.
Mi-sung Cho, CTO at Alticast, said, “The RAiDEA platform has been developed with convenience and usability as a priority – both for administrators and customers – and is fully aligned with the values pursued by WAY. The mobility service platform commercialization has been applied to community-based rental car services, and is proven as a suitable platform for a variety of mobility service providers, including rental and car-sharing services. Going forward, we aim to expand our business in Korea through similar partnerships and collaborations.”
Jeff Kim, EVP of Worldwide Sales at Humax, said, “Humax is already providing RAiDEA platforms for car-sharing and rental car services to operators in the Middle East and Korea, and our technology continues to evolve to deliver a platform that meets the needs of any customer in the world.”
